Equipping for Baptismal Vocation in Daily Life – Session 1: Our Baptismal Calling
This opening session, hosted by Craig Nessan, grounds the series in baptism as the foundation of Christian identity and calling. Rather than treating baptism as a past event or a private moment of faith, the session names it as a lifelong reality that shapes how Christians understand themselves, their neighbors, and their purpose in the world. Drawing on Lutheran theology and lived experience, participants are invited to reflect on baptism as God’s ongoing claim and promise, one that sends us into daily life marked by grace, responsibility, and love for others. This session establishes baptism as the source from which vocation flows, setting the theological framework for the sessions that follow.
